Welcome
Welcome to Embrace Advocacy where we are dedicated to empowering families and ensuring every child receives the education and support they deserve.
Daniel
As a combat veteran, I bring the same resilience, determination, and commitment to my advocacy work that I carried through my military service.
My mission is deeply personal, rooted in my experiences as a parent of four incredible children, one of whom is on the Autism Spectrum.
Nicole
Nicole has years of educational experience in both Private and Public Schools and has worked at clinical and In-Home settings.
She is currently a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and holds a Masters in Special Education, a Bachelors in both Elementary Education, & Sociology, and an Associates in Early Childhood Education. Her Teaching Certificates include: P-3, K-6, & TOSWD in Elementary Education
Advocates
Since before our children entered the school system, we have been fierce advocates for their educational needs, navigating complex processes to secure their safety, appropriate accommodations, resources, and opportunities.
Emotions
This journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions with Early Intervention, Private Evaluations, Eligibility Meetings, Appeals, Due Process Hearings, BOE Executive Sessions, Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying (HIB) Cases, Policy Reform, and most importantly, CHANGE.
Change
Our advocacy not only supports our children’s education, but has also led to impactful district policy changes that enhanced learning, safety, and security for all students.
Through our advocacy efforts we have improved district's Special Needs Programs, Estabished Sensory Rooms, Increased Special Education Funding, Increased Para-Professional hiring, Got cameras on School Buses and Locks on bathroom doors.
Experience
We have attended dozens of IEP Meetings, 504 Plans, Behavior Intervention Plans (BiPs), and Disciplinary Hearings, spanning multiple districts.
We have written hundreds of individualized programs, goals, and action plans, as well as gathered, reviewed, and analyzed, thousands of pages of assessments.
Education
Nicole and I our lifelong learners and advocates for our children. We strive to learn everything we can about Educational Advocacy and regularly participate in continuing education.
We our members of the Council of Parent Attorney’s & Advocates (COPAA) and have taken courses from the Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC) as well.
Founded
With a proven track record of driving systemic change and a passion for advocating for our children and others, we have founded Embrace Advocacy - Educational Advocacy & Consulting.
